Recycling

Nothing is lost, everything is transformed!

recyvle-how

Why?

WEE are made of materials that take thousands of years to degrade, at the same time containing toxic substances, whose wrongful management generates health and environment risks.

This is why GreenWEEE International ensures safe and modern recycling services, for all electric and electronic equipment, batteries, cables and parts from automotive industry.

WEEE Recycling

The process is not a simple one: electric and electronic equipment contains dangerous substances, as well as iron, aluminum and copper. When they are recycled accordingly, these valuable materials become secondary raw material and polluting agents are eliminated in a controlled manner.

GreenWEEE means Hi-tech recycling!

We are the only Romanian facility and one of the few European ones with WEEELABEX operating license, as type 1 and 2 operators for working flows that imply temperature changing equipment, large appliances, mixed equipment and cathode ray tubes.

Moreover, we upgrade our technologies as soon as they become available, with the specific intent to recycle electronic and electric equipment at the highest possible standards.

What happens

Some of the equipment we use still contains substances that affect the ozone layer: chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) or hydrofluorocarbons (HFC), even though these substances are now forbidden in new appliances. This is why old equipment of this type is treated on the special line dedicated to refrigerators and AC coolers.

How it happens
  • Decontamination through extraction of mineral oils and cooling agent
  • Grinding and magnetic separation or separation by absorption separation
  • Recovering the plastic, ferrous and non- ferrous metals, polyurethane foam, glass, oils, refrigerant, wood.
What happens

Coffee makers, IT equipment, toasters, vacuum cleaners or washing machines – we use one single recycling line, in order to transform them into separate fractions of plastic, ferrous and nonferrous metals, glass, cables and integrated circuit boards.

How it happens
  • Presorting;
  • Decontamination – batteries, capacitors.
  • Shredding, magnetic and induction separation of the fractions.

From this recycling line we recover a multitude of materials: wood, metal, plastic, glass or cardboard.

What happens

We isolate the cathode ray tubes by safely disassembling TV sets and monitors.

How it happens
  • We take away the cables, the outer shell and the printed circuit board;
  • We vacuum the fluorescent powder in a isolated room;
  • We obtain the following types of fractions: contaminated and uncontaminated glass, ferrous, non-ferrous and fluorescent powder.
What happens

This line processes cables resulted from the e-waste prepared for treatment in the facility and also industrial electric cables.

How it happens
  • Grinding, followed by magnetic separation of the ferrous metals;
  • Separation of the resulted fraction using flotation.
  • Fractions results goes into three categories: copper, aluminum and plastic PVC / PE.
What happens

This is where we recycle small batteries (Li, ni-ca, li-ion, ni-mh) or accumulators.

How it happens
  • Automatic sorting by size (of small, medium, large batteries);
  • Magnetic sorting;
  • Mechanic sieving to recover button cells.

We offer our partners

  • Environmental Counselling;
  • Collection of different types of waste;
  • Collection of the e-waste regardless of the quantity;
  • Promptitude;
  • Long term partnership;
  • Transparency;
  • Safe recycling processes;
  • Flexibility when it comes to commercial conditions;
  • Full documentation.
